Football

Age group/team assignment determined by participant’s age as of July 1, 2026

Newton Mustangs is the ONLY youth tackle football program available in Newton.  High school football is tackle football; our youth program is the perfect introduction to the next level.  

For both cheer and football, we emphasize fair play, respect, sportsmanship, and extensive teaching and training sound, safe techniques. 

We teach safe, heads-up tackling, as well as safety for ball carriers and defenders so they can anticipate and prepare to absorb a tackle or block, as well as skills for breaking through or shedding blocks and tackles.
