Coaching Requirements

Each team must have the Head Coach, an Assistant Coach or Licensed Trainer who is the holder of a current Red Cross Certificate in Community CPR and First Aid or its equivalent, present at all practices. A copy of the certification card must be in the team book.

All COACHES – HEAD AND ASSISTANT COACHES ROSTERED WITH A TEAM are required to complete the AYC Online ASEP Coaches Course found at www.ayfcoaching.com. Any Coach that has previously completed the course MUST YEARLY complete the refresher course available at www.ayfcoaching.com . This course must be completed before the start of the season. (Available 7/1/15) Certificates must be placed in the team book.

All COACHES – HEAD AND ASSISTANT COACHES ROSTERED WITH A TEAM must complete a Concussion Course yearly. Courses can be a free course at www.cdc.gov or the American Academy of Neurology at www.aan.com/concussion . As in all rules, Leagues/Conferences may have more strict rules regarding concussion education. Test results from completion of course must be placed in the team book.

All COACHES – HEAD & ASSISTANT COACHES ROSTERED WITH A TEAM must have a background check performed and reviewed/approved by the process established by the Association/Conference.

All Coaching Staff:

  • Log into your account, select your name (not your players) and print the following forms:
    • Waiver & Release of Liability – ADULT
    • Image Release – ADULT
  • CORI Acknowledgement Form (good for 2 years) - PDF below
    • Copy of drivers license for CORI
  • ASEP Coaches Course – Yearly refresher required if completed prior www.ayfcoaching.com
  • Copy of CPR & First Aid card or equivalent - Two members of coaching staff
  • Concussion course completion Certificate – required yearly www.cdc.gov
