Newton wins their regular season finale

The 8th Grade Newton Mustangs cruised to a 34-18 victory over an over-matched Natick team in their final regular season Game.

The Mustangs were led by a monster game by Marc Vasilyev, who had almost 200 yards of total offense and 4 Touchdowns. Sam Johnson also had a very strong game on both sides of the ball finishing with 90 yards rushing and a TD. 

Adam Landry led an explosive Newton Offense on 12/16 passing for 283 yards and 3 TDs.  The Mustangs had nearly 500 yards of total offense.

The Mustang Defense was led by Vasilyev, Johnson, Santiago Alverez, Benny Wong, Aaron Carrington and the rest of the swarming Defense. Wong also had 3 catches for 87 yards and Alvarez had 75 yards on 2 runs.

The Mustangs finish the regular season at 7-1 and will start the play-offs on Wednesday in defense of their 2017 State Championship.

They take on Milton in North Attleboro. 7:45pm kick-off.
