Baystate Youth Football and Cheerleading’s Executive Boards (“Baystate”) have spent countless hours coming together to try to build safe and engaging programs for your children this fall.
Unfortunately, the most recent guidelines for youth sports issued by our state and local governing bodies precludes us from continuing with our traditional tackle season. Therefore, we regret to inform you that Baystate will not have a tackle football program this fall. All local association will provide you with a complete and timely refund.
In the early spring the Mustangs are considering the possibility of offering programs (as they are allowed) for your children such as:
A. A traditional tackle football program
B. Clinics;
C. Traditions cheer season with stunting and competitions;
D. Skills clinics for cheer
Baystate asks that you continue to support us as your local football and cheerleading organization. Your children and your families safety is our first priority.
We collectively believe the new guidelines do NOT allow for stunting or tackling because both of which require “deliberate contact”. If you decide to look for something else for your children to do this fall, please keep this in mind!
We look forward to seeing you in the fall and spring this year!!
